Q: Sample e-mail or letter to use of electricity appropriately in the workplace!
Dear Colleagues,
As you all are aware of the electricity saving initiative by Bangladesh Gov’t. In this connection, we all can contribute to saving precious natural resources and cutting down on electricity by efficient use in the workplace. No matter what our role or position is, everyone can pitch in to save energy. Here are some tips:
• Make use of natural light from windows as much as possible.
• Don’t rely on artificial light when it’s bright outside – save it for gloomy days and dark evenings.
• Don’t leave lights on in unoccupied rooms. Switch off lights after using toilets and If you find in on elsewhere anywhere, please turn them off immediately.
• If you are away from your desk for more than 5 minutes, make sure you turn off the monitor. Switch off all appliances that are not in use.
• Unplug electronics such as cell phones and laptops once they’re charged. Adapters plugged into outlets use energy even if they’re not charging.
• Turn off projector, AC & lights in the meeting room immediately after the meeting.
• Less use of gadgets for the fair flow of internet bandwidth at work.
We look forward to your cooperation in this matter.
Best Regards,
Mr. Y
